Show loyalty points on the Shopify thank-you page and checkout with Cosmo
Cosmo shows loyalty points on the Shopify thank-you page and in checkout, so customers see what an order earns at the moment they buy. The thank-you block adds their balance and VIP tier, and on Shopify Plus a checkout block lets them redeem points on the spot.

How it works
How do loyalty points show on the Shopify thank-you page and checkout?
There are two blocks, and you place each one in Shopify's checkout editor: one for the thank-you page, one for the checkout steps.
After purchase
What does the thank-you page show after an order?
Cosmo adds a Your rewards block to the Shopify thank-you page. It tells customers what the order will earn, their current balance and their VIP tier, with how far they are from the next one. A View my rewards button takes them straight to their Rewards tab.
On Shopify Plus, Cosmo adds a rewards block to the information, shipping or payment step. It shows what the order will earn, the customer's balance and tier, and a stepper for spending points. Pressing Apply turns those points into a discount code on the order, without leaving checkout.
In the checkout block
What this order will earn
Their balance and VIP tier
A stepper to choose how many points to spend
The discount, shown before they apply it
A sign-in prompt for guests
Redeeming is optional: one switch turns the stepper off and keeps the rest

How do I add loyalty points to the Shopify thank-you page?
Open the checkout editor from Settings → Checkout in Shopify admin, go to the Thank you page and add the Cosmo Rewards block. Then switch it on under On-site content in Cosmo's loyalty settings. The checkout block is added the same way, on the information, shipping or payment step. No theme code is involved.
Do I need Shopify Plus for these blocks?
Only for the checkout block, because Shopify shows blocks on the checkout steps to Plus stores only. On any other Shopify plan that block simply doesn't appear, so leaving its switch on does no harm. The thank-you block isn't tied to Shopify Plus.
Why does the thank-you page say You'll earn and not You earned?
Because order points land when the order is fulfilled, which is nearly always after the thank-you page. Until then the block says You'll earn. If an order is fulfilled straight away, such as a digital product, it can change to You earned, and a customer who reaches a new VIP tier sees that too.
What do guests see on the thank-you page and in checkout?
Guests see what the order earns, a prompt to sign in or create an account, and a Sign in button. Their balance, tier and the redeem stepper only appear for customers who are signed in, because those belong to a customer's own account.
What happens if a customer redeems points in checkout but doesn't finish the order?
The points are spent as soon as the discount code is issued, even if the customer leaves checkout. The code is theirs to use until it expires, and it stays in the points history on their Rewards tab, so they can still use it on a later order.
Does redeeming in checkout work with Apple Pay and Google Pay?
Not always. Accelerated checkouts such as Apple Pay and Google Pay can refuse discount code changes. When Cosmo can tell up front, the block asks the customer to redeem from their account instead. If a code is refused after it's issued, the block shows it with a Copy code button so it isn't lost.
Do these blocks work if I run the program on store credit?
Yes, without the redeem stepper. In store credit mode both blocks show what the order will earn and the customer's VIP tier, with a note that store credit is applied automatically at checkout. There's nothing to redeem, because the credit is already on the customer's Shopify account.
Add Cosmo to your store
Install Cosmo from the Shopify App Store, switch on Loyalty & Rewards and add the blocks in Shopify's checkout editor. Customers then see their rewards right where they buy.
